Is it just my local Topps Tiles or does this apply everywhere. I went to set up a trade card/account and Topps told me I had to make a couple of purchases and then on the third visit they would let me buy trade. They told me that this applied at all there branches and was company policy. It that right? There are plenty of other tiling shop round by me and I don't know whether to bother with Topps.

worked for them afew years ago as a trusted tiler got a few jobs.but what was better for me was doing a few disply's in my local branch and putting a card on this was better than having the staff say use him IF THE CUSTOMER CAN SEE THE WORK YOU DONE THE BETTER FOR YOU:hurray: this is the only place been able to do this for a long time:hurray::hurray:

thats not true you dont get 50% staright away u would only get 10-15% at 1st then the more you use topps the more dicount u can get, once you've purchased from them a few times the manager has the option to give you full discount(the maximum)
also toppfix is exactly the same as bal just with topps name on it,,,

They give you full wack straight away and then if you don't use them as much then they reduce it..

I would prefer to use Tile giant and know exactly what my discount would be, no matter how often i use them...and not topps high prices for adhesives etc ...before this 50% reduction to bring it down to what it should be anyway.

I'm not a fan of Topps - I once was in my local branch buying some stuff and asked if I could put some of my cards in their card holder on the counter. They said yes no problem. Went back in the next day to get some grout for the job, and my cards had been binned. put me off them big style. Emergencies only now.

I had a topps account opened 2 yrs back...got full wack straight away..only opened it as i needed to order a certain product and only topps sold it...i never used them for a while after that till i needed the same product again..discount had been reduced....???..i asked why and was told it works on how often you use your account....so unless YOU work for topps how can you know what each store does,,?????..

I went off what i was given ...so you can't say NO U DON'T unless you know ALL stores do it..:ninja:

I got 50% straight off - never used them at all for about 18 months and still got 50% afterwards. Inconsistent it seems. To be honest why go in if you don't know whether or not you still qualify for full discount? Better to go elsewhere where you know the score. Seems a daft system.
