Hello, firstly thanks - been reading around the forum for ideas on tiling. Now done my bathroom walls and got well into laying 55m2 of opus pattern travertine covering most of downstairs floor.
Bathroom went well.
Floor went well until i tried to seal the tiles prior to grouting. Floors of stone gave me seal-guard which everyone seems to rave about. I was very happy with the LTP ironwax satin for the bathroom - i guess it's meant to be more shiny.
The sealguard seems to be VERY different and acetone based (stinks). On the tin it says up to 40m2 per litre. I have budgetted 10m2 per L, but the stuff just seems to evaporate no matter how quickly i put it down. Slight foam on rolling and gone in thirty seconds. Evaporates out the tray. Not making 1L for 10m2 let alone 40.
The tin also says buff with a clean cloth before the second coat is dry - its dry in 30 seconds!! Is that normal for the stuff?
Thanks in advance
Chris
