Trim and mosaics

Hello all,

I'm half way through tiling a small bathroom and have just come up to an external corner. I would like to place a bit of trim here but I have a border of mosaics (one thick) which sit slightly further back than the tiles above and below, because they're about half the thickness. Should I simply stop/start the trim where it meets the mosaics? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers - Brendan.

Re: Trimand mosaics

hi think i understand would be better to have mosaic border flush with rest of tiles

Re: Trimand mosaics

Hello Jay,

Thanks for the advice, I thought that'd be the case but most of the tiles are fitted now. is there anyway round this short of pulling all the tiles off?

thanks again

Re: Trimand mosaics

The mosaic should have been bedded out to match the wall tiles. Always going to look cheap and nasty now.

Re: Trimand mosaics

no not realy best to remove and lay flush sorry not the answer you were looking for:8:

Re: Trimand mosaics

Just out of interest. I was using tubbed adhesive so would it have been ok to bed out the mosaics with this or would that have been laying it on too thick?

Re: Trimand mosaics

I did Jay, it was BAL Blue star. I've had different advice on this and the guy from BAL who attended my course said it was fine to use in wet areas. What's the best alternative?
