Who is this man?

Dave was the winning tiler of a competition run by an assosiation for the tiling industry.

He is ex army having served 23 years.

And as fully trained tiler he became instructor at a tile training centre that
uses PORSADRILL. He has taught over 500 students.

He is now a full time tiler.

Saturday night is a first for Dave (and 365Drills) as he demonstrates the benefits of the "All In One" Tile drilling system to those installers not aware of what the PORSADRILL brand can help them achieve.

Although the slot is at midnight on 12th April the TV company want to repeat the video at times of the day where most people are awake! This is a test slot for PORSADRILL so we have our fingers crossed that some stock will sell in the witchin g hour...

He is prepared to wear the company T-shirt but I wonder if Ideal will let him....
I guess at least he wont get shot at

I understand that everyone can have an opinion and no doubt you have researched the subject to a far greater extent than myself. Well i bought one about a year-ago and it failed after 3 holes, and cost me about £68 , it was the biggest wast of my money for a long time , then when i tried to get another or my money-back the guy was on holiday and i was left speaking to a lady, who with the greatest respect new nothing , so i for one would never by from them again....... sorry i felt ripped-off ........

You made your point very clearly in the earlier post, however you could have voiced your concerns in a seperate thread rather than trying to undermine their products in this one which is obviously promoting a very big night for themselves .
Still - what would I know about respect, I'am just a tiler!

Just try to keep it constructive but you're welcome to speak freely.

I've always assumed they're marketed as a kit for a bathroom, which you'd use on one job, and bill the costs to the customer as you would your other materials. So neither here or there.

If you're doing a lot of it or want your drills to be your own and use them on dozens of jobs then I think Richard himself would even say you need something else. Says on his packets they're used for one job I think. Might be wrong.

Just had Dave Stott on the telephone this morning and he is very excitied to be going
and doing this tonight.

He tells me he is pacing about at home because he has the whole day to wait about.

I am certain he will be fine and that his army training will kick in to calm his nerves...

Interested to hear the feed back from porsadrills and anyone else who stayed up to watch dave stott demonstration .i thought dave did a great job.
pointedly there was one trial missing .drilling a porcelain tile!!!

Dan .advert and demo went well.the only thing I have never understood is that the product is definitely only for DIY market or very occasional tiler.yet it is advertised on this forum as ok for professional tilers.i don't blame porsadrill for advertising on this forum because there will be an element of tilers that will be seduced by the prices. But in reality not for a pro tiler and I guess I am the joker really here for not being qualified at all so what do I know.

sounds like you didn't even stay up to see how dave did.i actually thought you would have been on set helping him out .
from previous posts sounded like this was a big deal for you last night by the way you were bigging the event up.

I'd have to agree here! Porcelain is the real test of a drill bit and by missing this out an opportunity is lost to show these products at their best.

Just wanted to say well done to Dave Stott.
First time on TV and under a bit of pressure and nerves.

You did a great job presenting. Ideal World wanted Dave to present all three products as one seamless show in the Tiling Hour so he did a tile baton system, he did Porsadrill and he did Silicon. And they only allowed 20 mins to do the whole pitch.

I accept and agree with the comments that it would have been better to have drilled a porcelain tile - probably instead of the granite and slate. He was under a bit of pressure but hey well done Dave you did better than most! It takes guts to go on and do it. I think he was nervous but it did not show through.

Overall I am happy :smiley2:
