sorry to hear that you have decided to move on from the tiling game from your post re the ammount of calls you have had the last while it seems very low if you can ask yourself the question have i done everything possible to make this work and you have then you are making the right decision. i have been there to hard decision time moremoney going out than coming in chin up mate. hope this helps in some way mate when i started out i had nothing two very young kids and a amazing wife but no money to give them the things i wanted. what i done was go out there and every door i posted my card through or every company i sent a letter to(this was well before email was invented) was one step closer to giving my family the life they deserve at one point i had more debt than rwanda but eventualy i got there i made sure i did a good job at a reasonable price not cheap never cheap. if tiling is what you want to do then stick with it if not best of luck in everthing you do. TODAYS HISTORY TOMMOROWS A MYSTERY

Seems a shame paul....if i was you i would find a reg job and do tiling part time...keep dishing your cards out and finding contacts along the way...i know alot of people say you can't do tiling part time...well if you give up your holidays and work weekends i don't see why you can't do that for the first years..
I bet you start getting people asking if you still do tiling in a couple of months it's sods law mate..
anyway i hope things work out for you good luck!

Spot on Hometiler, i only tile part time, have done so for the past year, tile every weekend and all my holidays, (luckily in my job I get about 10 weeks off a year) and this year I have been really busy, 1 step closer to going full time, maybe feb march next year, but I am pleased I have done it this way and it is possible to tile part time, bloody nackering cos you never get a day off but a good way to build up a customer base without having to worry about the bills etc.

Must have missed you saying you only did tiling part time Varley, always presumed you were full timer.

As they have said Paul, if possible keep hold of the gear, and work whatever job you can or are doing and wait to see if you get any jobs, cos they will come if you get your name around enough.

Good luck with whatever you do mate.
