Hello all,

I have recently found a local independent kitchen and bathroom shop that stocks Granfix. I have heard of Granfix and although I know there are many Bal and Mapei users here, I wondered what peoples thoughts were on Granfix?

They are also introducing a new adhesive range manfactured by Palace. Has anybody heard of this stuff and if so, any thoughts/comments?

The nearest Bal or Mapei stockists are quite a trip from where I live so hoping to be able to get a decent addy at a decent price.

Regards

Paul

have used Granfix and Palace with no problems at all. Palace are the manufacturers of Topps own brand

Im a Mapei man but have used the Granfix powder a couple of times over the years, and had no problems with it at all, same as the Palace. I wouldnt use either over Mapei given a choice but if they are easier to get hold of for you I think you will be happy enough with them.

Ive used alot of granfix as the local shop sells it and i have never had a problem with it, there colour ranges of grout is very good too! Stay away from there Silicon its very watery imo, There ultimate adhesive and grout are very sticky I have used them on floating floors (with the correct preperation) and have never had a failure. The ultimate flex grout does take some cleaning as it is very sticky, but then it is also very flexible the rest off the grouts are very easy to clean and when they have dried it is nice and easy to buff off the dust etc.

Try it and let us know what you think of it.

Thanks for all of the comments! I'll give the granfix and Palace and see how I get on with the both. Some pretty positive feedback though.

Thanks again

Paul
