Mrs S wants to make an honest tiler of me and wants me to have a rather expensive wedding ring. So my question.....do you guys remove your rings whilst working or somehow cover them to stop them getting damaged, grubby, lost in addy?

mine was a gorgeous white gold inlaid with 8 diamonds, all wrapped round a yellow gold band, cost about £600, was determined to wear it rain or shine, work or out on the town, it lasted 4 years before it was in need of a total rebuild:yikes: my advice would be to get a decent ring for home and a more robust one for wearing at work:thumbsup:

Never had one for that very reason - adhesive!
Well apart from the fact that my wifes ring cost all we had at the time - so as usual I went without.
But now as all the young ladies are chasing after me, for some strange reason she wants to get me a ring for our wedding anniversary.
I not sure if it's the bald head, the sports car, or the walking stick that they find irresistable.

my ring was a very thick chunky band of gold, i went to open the garage door and as i threw it up it caught my ring and nearly pulled my finger off, that was the end of that!!

I jumped out of a loft years ago and got a ring caught on a stray nail, the ring broke as luck would have it. I still crosses my mind from time to time that I so easily could of lost my finger that day
