I got married yesterday , me and the missus decided on a tunsten carbide ring for me , nice and cheap and almost indestructible

I wear mine when working, but not when grouting or calving a cow!
I put it onto my keyring and in less than a year its a complete mess! Might get a cheep one for working with (brass water fitting) and get the white gold re plated on my good one.

Used to wear mine and take it off when doing really mucky jobs, one day never got round to putting it back on. That was probably at least 15 years ago. Have heard and seen several incidents of badly damaged fingers from getting them caught. Only thing I ever got was a burn when some solder dropped on it - I was used to getting the odd bit of solder on my hand and just shaking it off bus that don't work if it hits your ring.

i've got my platinum ring that i keep as the sunday best, and a cheapo silver one the exact same(friends with jeweller so got it free) that i wear for work, doesnt matter if that gets trashed, it just goes back to the jeweller for a polish every now and then

Have any of you single guys put a wedding ring on as a pulling technique? A mate of mine use to and he swore by it, women love to see if they can make a man sway
