if the tiles are 18kg and the adhesiv and grout are 3.25kg the Limit is 20kg there is only 1.25kg discrepancy and in my humble opinion there is no problemWhy is that then? I am not trying to be argumentative, I am just trying to understand why you think there is not a problem?
I see where you are coming from. I don't agree with the rationale or the weight figures for the addy and grout but thats fine. Thanks for replying.if the tiles are 18kg and the adhesiv and grout are 3.25kg the Limit is 20kg there is only 1.25kg discrepancy and in my humble opinion there is no problem
Some more thought on this. I take it I would be okay to put new plasterboard on top of the skimmed board drilling straight through into the battens and this should help me with the weight issue.
Thanks
If you are going to screw plasterboard up why not remove the old stuff first, it wouldn't take long, or is that a bath removal job first? One more question. When you have to tile a floor and and walls in a bathroom which do you do first. Is it the floor first with the wall on top or the wall first with the floor against the wall.
Thanks
