Thats an old article..i think the warrant runs out next year...but still not right is it..?

Well yes its from 2007 but who was this british company ?

and i quote "British Ceramic Tiles, based in Newton Abbot, produces 10,000 square metres of tiles each day for clients including Laura Ashley, Homebase, Focus"

So what would you expect to see in a palace ? Porcelanosa or Homebase tiles ?

Time's Ran Out

Would have to agree with Pete.
Until Porcelanosa started to bring tiles into the Uk, British tiles were not only poor quality but boring.
Not many of my customers would buy tiles just because of a Royal (Prince Charles) warrant.
At least now it would seem that the UK tile industry has its act together and are producing some interesting designs - and with the tiles being made in the EU (whichever country) at least the quality has improved.
That garden centre piece would be naff at Highgate House.

Spud

I wonder what our tiles would be like had our tile industry receieved the generous subsidies that the italians and spanish had recieved during the 80s and 90s or what our carpet industry would be like if it had the help that belgium had recieved our our fishing industry or our farmers if they had the help of that the french had recieved ,bottom line is you cant compare british tiles with spanish or italian tiles as its not a level playing feild
