nowt sorted yet one month to go on the house then a break before the next one

the recession has effected people thoughts on holidays/leisure activities

My brother owns two shops selling high spec walking / climbing stuff one in Worcester and one in Cheltenham although he is quite at the moment he has been very busy with walking gear as people have given up on £ 30 a month gym membership and gone for walking instead boots £ 50 / £ 60 plus some clothes they will last a good few years

i like going in the shop and taking the mick as some of the stuff is good down to - 40 etc and i always say if its -40 i aint going outside

Had a fortnight in Cuba in Feb (for the boss's 40th)

Sorry for delay in answering...no Dave - have wanted to go for a while and has long been one of the ones we looked at, but first time actually going. My parents neighbours have a place out there and we are hoping to meet up with them for a tour round etc.

Got any tips then??? We are going to Punta Prima and thats about as much as I know!

LOL.. I went to punta prima...

Lovely place.. take the little train into next village .. nice place for a meal out.. chinese etc there..

The hotel we were at was about 15 min walk from the beach but a free mini bus was laid on and went to and from the beach about every half hour.

TIP!! if it is the same Hotel.. little bar across the way nest to the round about is spot on for the footy..

A trip into Mohan is recommended and go to the Gin factory.. FREE booze..

There is one main road from the bottom of the island to the top..and manorca is a very clean place i thought..

All in all..Loved it..

Just to add the hotel we stopped at had some villas out the back and we had one of them, coz our room was late to tidied , so they gave us a 2 storey villa instead, that was great with 2 teenage lads at the time..
