got three jobs coming up that will require me to put ply up,and just double checking which thickness of ply would be needed? 2 of the jobs require me to remove broken tiles from a whole shower wall,as they have cracked from top to bottom-im removing all tiles and putting ply up to hopefully prevent any further cracking.
The other is a kitchen floor that has existing vinyal down, which sits on top of floor boards, so ply will need to go down on top.

Normally i get a joiner mate to come in and do it, but with money being tight and having seen that its not exactly rocket science to do it, im going to give it a bash myself.

well don't put it on a wall use plasterboard or tile-board on the floor take the vinyl tiles up so you can screw the floorboards to the joists then screw down 18mm ply but don't forget to seal the edges and back first personally i prefer to use 10mm tile-board on the floor try this how to guide it may help :pete
