Heat pump hot water cylinders Discussion Thread

Has anyone fit the hot water cylinders with a little heat pump on the top that has ducts to bring inside and outside air in to the unit. Piping up wise is it just the same as a normal direct cylinder?

Can anyone advise why my Worcester Bosch System boiler when heating hot water does this sort of surging/woosh/hum that's a slightly higher pitch than the normal water heating noise noise like a plane taking off every 5 to 15 minutes?
