Hi guys. Bit of a strange one this.
Had a query from someone who has had tilers fitted by a "pro-tiler". All the tiles were supplied from the same batch. They have been fitted over a couple of days and grouted on the third.
Apparently they looked fine when they were first laid but since...

Having never done it, can you guys advise on a rough step by step guide for fixing marmox or hardie to different kinds of wall.
For studded and skimmed walls and for brick walls both plastered and not plastered. Need to know about the gluing and screwing for both instances.
Thanks in advance.

Went to look at a kitchen splashback tonight and as a quick fix after they installed the kitchen, they decided to paint straight onto the plasterboard. There was no mist coat, just straight on with emulsion.
I put a bit of tape on the wall, left for 10 mins and when I pulled it off, the paint...

Hi there!
A friend has a shower cubicle where there are a couple of little gaps (5-10 mm) in the grout. Doesn't look like it has fallen out but like it was sloppy grouted to start with. The shower has been used for several years. Do you think there is water damage behind the tiles now? Is is ok...
Evening all.
Im doing a kitchen splashback in a few weeks time. (Walls are being plastered due to old tiles taking down about half the wall - hence delay in starting the job).
The walls are going to be tiled using brick effect tiles, however the wall area that covers the width of the cooker...

What are the best wall plugs to use for fixing a shower door to tiles over a bath? My tiles are mounted on plasterboard and I am not sure if there are any noggins behind the board.
Hi, would anyone be able to advise me on fitting exterior tiles. They are ledge stone split face mosaic tiles. I am going to fit them to an outside wall which is brick and currently rendered and painted with stone paint. Do I need to hack off the render and fix to the brick after sealing them or...
I'm over boarding a ply floor with 6mm backer board in a couple of weeks time and wondered what fixings people recommend?
I'm presuming the ply will be 12mm so ideally I'd like them to be less than 18mm to avoid any pipework. Does this sound the way to go?

I have been offered a contract in Norwich, but we are at full capacity, and its just a little bit to far for us to undertake at the moment. I am looking for a good stone man local to the area, as some of these works might be out of hours. The works consist mainly of 70m2 of Jura, and an...
Hi, tilers! I am hoping what I want to do is not impossible. I have an outdoor table with a glass top. I would like to create a stained glass mosaic on the underside of the table (so that the surface will be completely smooth). Can you recommend an adhesive that would be:

Hi,
I was going to use some Mapei Super Flexible Adhesive I have kicking about (which I've just found out is specially fomulated for B&Q - which is ringing alarm bells as I'm sure it will likely be inferior). I rang Mapei and they said dont use that! Instread, sand the floor to create a key...
