    Freeezing today...

    It has been so bloody cold today ( never lifted above -2 c ) , that the water on the wet cutter bed etc was freezing solid.. leave an off cut of tile on the bed etc and then go upstairs to stick a few more tiles and then come back for another wet cut and the off cut was froze to the cutter...

    About legal stuff , if a tiler or plumber or electrician were to be taken to court ,surly they (courts ) should have judges with constructional knowledge ,if not even specific trade knowledge ,do they or do they just rely on technical specialists ??

    Missed the van today

    £20 tip today....

    Fixed a few metres of oyster split face slate behind an already installed log burner. Bit of a slaver on but got fed and watered for 7 hours and a tip. I <3 london!

    i bought 365 drill today

    80mm one from watford for the lights in a pool i'am tiling in London, i was a bit surprised that after spending £56.0 it said on the back of the packet you should get between 2-6 holes in porcelain :yikes::yikes::yikes: i hope i get a few more that that for the dosh...........

    Had Gary the Rubi rep in at work today, 45° trowel opinions ?

    I think he is on here as he is on the TTA board. He very much rates these trowels and apparently zee germans have been bending old trowel combs over for 25 years to obtain a true 6,8,10...12mm bed ! Has anyone used them before and what are your opinions ? I was dubious until we had a chat...

    Had a builder in today...

    His van stated multi trade this that and anything. Was wanting adhesive to tile onto screed....that he had poured over laminate which he had screwed down here and there and not primed. (not that it would have done anything) He has never heard of any type of cement board, decoupler etc. I...

    Had a guy in at work today...

    Ended up having to sell him a wet saw as he was sooo confused as to why the ts60 wouldnt touch a marble tile.... Got offered the job but my price was what he was charging for refitting the whole bathroom. :yikes: This is a daily thing, I might have 'tiler' of the day competition.
