I have some tile trims and I want to tile both the walls around the window and the "alcove" of the window. Do I place the tile trims on the wall part ( outside of window area ) or the alcove part of the window eg internal part.
Hope that makes sense.... if it makes it any clearer, if I am...
I just finish to tile over a complete bathroom (floor to ceiling). There was one part of the job that i found quite of a challenge, tiling around the window! using large porcelain tiles (600 x 400). So my question is:
- where would you start? would you start from the centre and work your way out...

Alright, not tiling, but some of you are clever with tools and build all sorts - so wanted to throw it out there.
Basically, as my workshop is in my garage and I would like to let natural light in in the winter I was wondering if anyone would be able to fit me a window into the single layer...
I had this problem a few months ago when I tiled my Inlaws bathroom. The solution was to turn the bath around.
The problem is that the bathroom window overhangs the bath. The customer wishes to install a glass shower screen. The customer has suggested that the side of the window is padded out...
I am brick bonding 250mm (length) x 200mm (height) ceramic tiles. I am trying to figure out how to layout the wall shown in pic below, the larger wall which is where the bath is located (to the left of the pic) has a near perfect pattern (i.e ending in either a full tile or half tile).
If I...

Hi Y'all, I need to do a bit of tiling on a wall that has a circular window in the middle of it, I know you can get stainless steel trim that is bendable, by Schluter I think, has any one used this before and do you really need the special forming machine £'s to get a top finish or can you form...
Apologies if this is a repeat thread but not sure what happened to last one. Have searched forum for help before posting this. Need to tile over window header and was hoping for some advise. Do i need to support the tiles whilst the adhesive dries out. Substrate is new plywood does it need...
i started a bathroom thursday but the dodgy plasterer had dry lined the window header but the board was overlapping the glass :yikes:. after removing the board i found there was only about 8mm gap for both the board and tile, on closer inspection the header was a poor/weak lathe and plaster. i...

I have an angled window in the bathroom which I want to keep angled and would like some advice on how best to tile it. I've uploaded some pictures with two options and would like to know what's best to do.
Option 1 - is keeping the edge of the angled window in line with the grout line...

My first thought was to take the angle iron off the window and cut the...

Can anyone suggest how to tile around this window? I discussed it with client and he said a trim wasnt necessary, to take off a few tiles that werent full tiles and to complete the missing tiles. This was done quite a while ago and the client has decided to add more tiles to the existing ones...
Anyone know the technical name for these (been googling, but not sure of the correct name).
Even better, any links to suppliers?
I'm thinking some kind of mini telescopic pole (similar to the ones used for lasers)
Any ideas?
