6H Pencils

Anybody use 6H pencils? Got a few a month ago and still got 3/4 of the first one left. :yikes: All they need is a sharpen in the morning and they're good for the rest of the day including drawing datums round a room. :lol:

I use these for everyday use but for heavy marking, I use the Howdens big carpenters pencils

I use staedtler pencils a lot... Tesco are cheap as chips..

The black and red Staedtlers are good but those blue ones are in a league of their own.

6h seems quite light in colour when you look at the colour chart, am I wrong as forever trying new pencils. This is getting GEEKY!!!

try this one what i always use

Think it's just lighter on the chart as the lead is harder and has a better point than a soft lead, but no difference in reality.

I've been doing rough granite externally lately, and used a pencil per day ! Tesco cheapies , so not too bad

It's either this or a 4H

Struggle to mark with a 6H as the lead is so hard..

Different pencils for different tiles, might go in to hobby craft tomorrow and get some white ones and some harder ones. I use the black and yellow ones currently at a rate of one a week

For ceramic i use a papermate marker easy to see mark and wipe off

I'am not allowed sharp points anymore so 20 for a £ cheapies is all I can use - packet a day as they keep breaking!
