Just so that I learn a little as I go along, what is the reason for 10mm minium as to the 6mm I thought would be ok ?

To give a thicker bed of adhesive and helps you gain 100% coverage on the back of the tile, also a thicker bed of adhesive will take out any small deviation in the floor/wall and help you get a flatter surface.

You don't have to get a rubi one, just one that looks like that. Topps or tile giant or even b&q will do a cheaper version that will do the same job

What do you guys use to take skirtings off ?

I was thinking a chisel, hammer and a jimmy bar ?

I obviously need to reuse it again, is there any tips for safe removal witout damaging the wall etc ?

Because its a new build house, I imagine they would have glued the skirting on rather than nailing it ?

Walls and skirting have been painted yeah. No floor laid in the places I will be tiling.

If you start pulling off skirting then someone will need to do some snagging, I would cut to the skirting rather than rip off IMO

You think it would look ok doing it like that ? Just use a small amount of sealant along the join to finish off ?

Yes mate, silicone will be fine..

I've had to loads of times, if it's decorated try convincing someone why your ripping off their skirting and explaining the repair bill.

With regards to Priming....

I have the SBR Primer to prime the no more ply boards. What should I use for my concrete floors ? Would Primer G be ok ?

What I dont get is the SBR primer should be used prior to fitting the no more ply. So that means I'm priming the chipboard floors I have ? Why is that needed if I am glueing and screwing no more ply directly on to the chipboard ? Wouldnt I prime the no more ply itself ?

No adhesive between the woodchip and the no more ply, just glue and screws.

No need to prime the no more plymate, it's a cement board

If the floor is dusty the glue wont stick, hence the primer
