Hi Guys

Right - here's the pictures of my first attempt - I haven't grouted yet but on your advice I've stuck to the BAL stuff - got the White star and the BAL grout.

nice straight lines cappsie, how will yo finish around the diamond window, L shaped trim ?......Gaz

hmm trim... nope.

I didn't put any trim on - I'm now thinking that was a bit of an unplanned oversight 🙂

Guess I'll have to mega grout that bit 😉

Srtaight lines were a pain tho 🙂

Well done Cappsie, nice job so far. I must say your walls don't seem to run out very much, you are a touch fortunate as you appear to have full tiles into the corners. That could have caused you problems if the walls weren't straight.

It is normal to try and have a cut into the corners so you can follow the line of the wall closely to get a nice finish.

I'm not being critical here you are doing a good job, just trying to give pointers.

Thanks - very kind of you to say 🙂

I only broke about two tiles and that was doing the silly diamond window angles with a tile saw - mainly rushing through it to get to the pub 🙂
