An alternative solution to mosaic mesh or dog toothing

I've got loads of off cuts in the garage so technically it cost me nothing, there's about half a metre there so roughly £3 worth. Makes the mosaic mesh look silly at around £12 per metre. This is my tight git tip of the day

Even though it goes against my requirement to sell at Topps, I think I may recommend this method to my traders if they find the mesh is too costly. Reckon I'll point them to this post as well haha

Another good method I use is casting the mosaics, back skim the mosaics the day before you use them then leave them face down on a flat surface, the next day you have a solid mosaic tile.

Good one Bri. That's another reason why I keep all sorts of bits and pieces of stuff in the van as you just never know when you may need it. Most common thing I use for packing out mosaics is 4mm marmox.

Did manage to get it nice and flat first? I know that stuff when it's been rolled up tightly it wants to stay that way 🙂 cracking idea, wonder if it would work with a three stacked mosaic border which is one this weeks tasks.
