Discuss Another Wasps Nest in the loft.... in the UK Tiling Forum area at TilersForums.com.

Olz

Just opened up the loft hatch and dropped the ladders down, ready to put some boxes up there and out pops a wasp.

No problems I thought, went and got the wasp spray, dispatched the little blighter problem solved, then out pops another.... great must be a nest, sprayed the second one too but could hear another buzzing about in the loft so i've put the ladder back up and shut the hatch.

These things must be following me about, we hade one in the old house a few years ago too.

Oh well, looks like we'll have to have the pest control guys out again. :mad2:

I had a small nest in my new roof. Was only about the size of a tenniss ball so I thought "there can't be more than a few wasps in there, I can sort it". I hit it with a sweeping brush and ran like hell as about 2 or 3 hundred angry little blighters came buzzing out. Fortunately none got to me but they were buzzing around for hours afterwards. I got the honeycomb with the brush so they lost all their babies. They went away and have never come back since.

By the way this is not a recomendation to hit the nest with a sweeping brush - especially if you have a weak heart or a bad leg.......
