Well Ken - that's come as a bit of a downer!
As I hadn't heard from you for a bit I thought you were busy!
I enjoyed our visits and hoped that it may have helped, but I understand your situation and you are obviously making the right decision just now.
Remember your training at NETT and realise you still have a skill to offer clients.
I'll make you an offer for your tools via PM on condition you come and use them when you get a few small jobs in.
I know how committed you were to tiling and its just tough for new start ups at the present time - but many hobbies can be made into careers - so continue as a hobby and let it roll!
Oh sorry got to go - the alarms just gone off - I bet its another chip pan fire!!!!

It's always sad to hear this, best of luck bud. twice this year i have been asked to under cut tilers, but i just knock the job back. Because im still tiling part time, i won't under cut a full time tiler, im not relying on my tilng to pay my mortgage. YET!!!

As everyone has already said....It's a real shame Ken. Unless you really have to, I would not sell your tools.

Try and keep your hand in with part time work until you can find a way to make it your full-time career mate.

Sorry to hear this Ken, as Dave says you must do what ever to give you an income. If you dont need to sel your tools i would hang on to them for a while. When it all gets better then you have something else to fall back on.
