Bringing concrete floor up

its sand/cement screed im thinking of

i dont know much about screeding

when i was kitchen fitting i needed more height in the kitchen of an extension to get the larder unit in

the architect refused to allow a 45mm screed as the minimum allowed was 65mm

When I was at college only a few years back we were told the minimum sand/cement screed was 45mm.

the college training is based on NVQ curriculum or perhaps even BS.

Architects probably have there own prefferences too as it may be there neck on the line to if something goes wrong

Runafix stipulate that the min you can screed with there sbr is 6mm mixed with a fine sharp rendering sand
Thats interesting, do you have to mix a sbr and neat cement slurry mix and spread on the floor and then add the screed as you go before it drys? or as someone else has said just dampen the floor with water?
and how long before you can tile on it what is the drying time?
just curious about the product whitebeam.

i just brought up a level in a room to 18mm using granite chips through some slc so i would use that

A modified sand and cement screed can go down to 25mm.
I think I would be more inclined to go with the Marmox board route, quicker, cleaner, solid:thumbsup: Failing that Mapei Fiberplan every time:thumbsup:
