that is just amazing. how do you practice doing back somersaults without hurting yourself real bad. i thought we were mad 20 years ago going over the dangerous parts of holyhead mountain and down the 400 steps of south stack lighthouse (and carrying my bike back up!) those guys are sheer class (and mad)

15 miles tonight and finally at bloomin last managed to do a v tricky path i have failed on every week since jan and it was v dark

v happy but only just got in as mate had a puncture and we got stuck in a massive thunderstorm and it was too dark to see to change the tube

but who cares i did that little git of a path

You need a light Chris, I use one I got from an eBay shop!
Under 80 quid I think, 900 lumens of light and 4 hours on one charge full beam.
Very handy at night, lol.
Iv fixed puntures with it during winter there.

I started a commercial job yesterday, was there today too when I heard my fav bike shop was on fire!!!!!
Wow.i was packing up anyway so I drove 12 miles to the city and parked up.
Fire brigade etc in full swing, bikes being took out through a front entrance.@
We gave them a hand for a while.
We had to get as many bikes out and into a storage unit down the street asap.
The fire was in the top of the building so you can imagine the panic there with timber joists etc.
Smoke damage bikes maybe??
I put one up the street worth 7.5k !!!!
Too much stock in there, it's where I drool.
The guy who fell off bike while out with me this week works in there too.
I'll hear more later.

It took him a while to get up, helmet saved his head.

Just goes to show, always wear your lid. Pro or novice, you can still fall off. Also if you drop it onto concrete or tarmac more than once you're better off ditching it. Don't buy cheap either, would you put a £1m bonce in £5 lid? Nope.

Did a steady 20 yesterday (road) 1456 feet of climb at average of just over 14mph. Took over an hour for front 10 then a blast back mostly downhill or flat and clocked a top of 44.6mph. That was when I thought "what if the wheels come off?" Hmmm.

Not getting the miles up as my knee isn't happy, crunching and crackling when I hit the climbs. Going to get the Rock out next week and do some forest/farm tracks.

I'm going to start wearing knee and elbow pads asap.
That's two mates of mine fell this week.
Good lid always needed.
44 mph is some speed spooner, in my local forest I cant get over 28 yet, lol.
Mountain bikes don't cut through the air like road bikes.
Chris.. No lapierre bikes in there, trek, marin,willier and some others.
I'll know more today, a lot clothing damaged too.
My biking buddy will keep me posted.

I wear a specialised lid, giro is very highly rated too but with so many up there it's take your pick.

lid always 44 flipping eke i got unto 40 and my backside was twitching like a good un how come i never even think about it till i start going above 25mph then the thought suddenly cropps up ?

The remedy was sitting at £2299 I think and the fuel8 similar so let's see what happens.
Nearly all bikes got out although some carbon models melted on upper floor I hear.
Trek fuel ex 5,6 and 7 in there too.
No specialised apart from ones in getting repairs, lol.

Your the same age as myself Chris, my ear is close to the ground here so hopefully something will appear with little or no damage,lol.
I'v offered the guys in the shop to help them move stuff to new premises if i'm not busy.
If i was doing coast to coast i think i would be on a racer,lol.
I know my maxxis 2.35 tyres grip tarmac too much for my liking,lol.
