That's the most impressive job I've seen. Job of a lifetime! Not many would have the skill, patience or perseverance to pull that off! Very well done mate
Now that is real class, and it took a class act to take the job on and finish to that level of perfection. The attention to detail is impeccable. So much care taken over the project from start to finish (even though other trades have tried their worst to mess it up). You stuck with it Marc, and I know sometimes you feel like walking, persistence and patience on your behalf. Well done mate, an absolute credit to you and your labourer 😉

It's probably been a while since Gary's been referred to as a labourer tho!
There were no labourers mate
Gary, who got us up and going and figured out the best way to negotiate the landings and did the first one as well as the very first staircase, I followed his lead from then on in.
Then he came back to help with a copper lift surround and help set out the lobby floor.
And of course was at my beck and call on the phone if I needed it.
Brian, (one of Gary's colleague's who left just a couple weeks in, well he did come into some money suddenly 😱)
Steve, (who fixed a part of the staircase for me once I had prepared the treads and risers and landings, and also helped fix the floor in the lobby with me, but he fixed only. Didn't get involved in the setting out or preparing)
Ray came and got his hands dirty for a day,
As did Mark (whitebeam) and Harry (hmtiling) he also spent the Day there.
I did the rest on my own, much to the frustration of the agent, but in fairness to him, he never complained ONCE, he wanted to, I could see it in his eyes! Haha but he didn't.

Meanwhile, how many sq m and how long has it taken you?

No amount of money would have compensated for the satisfaction it gave me.
