I promise, the red case is not mine. Borrowing it from work. However, i'm used to rubi and it hasn't let me down....... yet. Wanna try other cutters before i fork out for one. Just don't know anyone local with a sigma.

As for that dog, he's been a pain. Keeps getting in the way. I shut all the doors to keep him out, and missus thinks its hilarious to keep letting him in.

Nipped out this morning. Got some food in me and cracked on. 2 hours in and only laid 12 tiles (3 metres). But trying to keep accuracy over speed.

And while i'm taking a short break (yep. Still bloody hot in there) wifey has offered to do one of my blue jobs. Gardening.

Thank you. Enjoying it, but keep getting interrupted. Would have liked to have got the tiling done tonight. But i've been told i must go to the pub tonight. But i'll behave (maybe), do the last bits in the morning and grout in the afternoon. Like the idea of no pressure when doing your own house, but kinda want it finished now.

I did enjoy it. Bit too much. Being dared to down pints of Hobgoblin. Turned out to be quite........ a heavy beer to be playing games with.

Anyway, loose laying the last couple of full tile and a row of cuts. Got a pipe that i can't take out. Had cut round it. Not done round cuts with an angle grinder. Not bad for a first go but would anyone have done this differently?

Yes! Got all my cuts done. Started laying them.

Also, found out now why they're called levelling clips. Nothing to do with lipping. Instead they show you where you flumped up the self "levelling" compound. Found a hump where i missed a bit of feathering. Higher than snowdon, but not quite as high a Ben Nevis. Hammer, chisel, fixed.

Question. Doing the skirting. Best way to finish it as its the bricks i'm sticking them to aren't flat. They're a bit......... rustic.

Could use trim but it will show every undulation in the wall..

Could use grout to fill in the gap but will show the exposed edge. Will still maybe looker neater thatn trim. Would use Silicon but what colour? The grout i'm using doesn't have a match.

Thoughts? (The one in the picture not yet been stuck)

Thanks for the tips everyone. Got it all grouted yesterday. Managed to do the whole floor in one mix.

Gave it a fine clean and mop up just now and gotta say i'm very happy with it.

Left the skirting for now until i can make the boxing for the ufh but i'll take @antonio's tips on board for lining it all up.

Still have some cleaning of pipe work and the siliconing to do, but thats for another day.

Thanks again for the tips guys its been a great help.
