i had this happen back in the building strike 1972
one of the scouser flying pickets walk all over a newly layed floor laughing as he did
the bloke was 6 6 16 stone as he turned to leave the room i grabbed a near by shovel and smashed it into his back he fell out cold
i thought your not laughing now you *******
but he had the last laugh
i was arrested for common assault spent that night in the cells
luckily bovis the main contractors lawyers got the case dropped

happened to me once when using megalastic addy onto kascade shower tray. £95 sqm porc mosaics and customer went in after i left to draw where shower plate went. didnt notice they moved when he stood on them. the addy pulls the shower tray to bits if you try to remove tiles so had to leave it. i was at a job last week when customer said when he had en suite tiled he didnt like where the border was so when tiler got back next morning he had removed tiles and stuck them on himself where he wanted them!!!!!! i left rather quickly

Only once for me. A postman walked right in and placed a parcel on the kitchen worktop, standing on two tiles. They sunk. I had UFH down and couldn't safely get them up. His body is still in the garden shed and I don't think the customer has noticed yet.

My advice would be to always communicate clearly. Tell the customer to KEEP OFF! Safest way is to assume they are all 100% stupid.
