Hi
I've decided to go with the Dewalt D24000 tile saw and thought a thread to discuss hints/tips and accessories might be useful.
As with any product, people using them everyday develop little tricks to make them work better.
Also people seem to find obscure accessories that makes life so much easier.
I intend to modify the water valve to something more robust. I think a small push fit water shut off valve will do the trick.
Another thing i'm looking at getting is a sheet of smooth Alu/S/steel to fit (temporarily)on top of the rubber bed.
This will allow me to slide the tile sideways when cutting small u shaped cut outs. I use the side of the blade to act as a grinder for a nice and neat cut etc.
I haven't noticed any Laser alignment add ons for the D24000.
My old QEP Pro 900 had a neat Laser mounted at the front wheel housing.
This made setting the tile before the cut that much easier.
I had to get one sent from the US, but to QEPs credit, they didn't charge me a bean!
I will look into fitting this to the Dewalt. Maybe some water proof velcro pads might be best whilst deciding on the best place.
I have seen on You-tube "extend a fence & profiling 10F2", but apart from that very little.
So come on guys/girls, fire away......(i know there are plenty of D24000 owners on here)
