Well I have just received a laser, battery pack, CNC alloy mounting bracket and shrink tubing from an engineering firm to fit to my Dewalt.
I only have to get an L-shaped bracket fabricated to mount it all on the machine now. That should be completed in the next week or so.
I will post up pics to show you how it go's.

Thats exactly the same as I had , I cant say I found it useful though and never use it now. If I had known you could have had mine.

Would be good if it works right but a 600/1000mm rule pressed against one side of the blade works fine for us penny pinchers.

Not sure on the accuracy of lasers as you've got to allow for the blade thickness. Best one I seen was on a Festool mitre saw that had a laser on each side of the blade so you could see where the blade was actually going to hit.

I have focused the lens so that the beam of the laser is the same width as the blade. Shall see how it go's.

Just reading this thread and You could get a light off dewalts dropsaws, Far more accurate than a laser as it casts a shadow over whatever blade you have installed. I have a dw717 with one and it knocks spots off anything i've ever had with a laser.

Well used mine today for the first time.

Dogs veg  Wot a machine.

Not sure on spray, as it was pee-ing down, so I was gonna get a wetting anyway.

Had a play on a few off cuts to see how small a cut I could get.

First attempt at play, wet hands, too small an off cut to practice with.........flaming tile shot away from me and the machine, and ended up halfway down customers garden, narrowly missed their greenhouse.

That would have been fun explaining.
