Has anyone come across any nippers which really truly actually cut glass mosaics cleanly? I've spent all days trimming slivers off 2x2 glass mosaics - not much fun with a wet cutter!

I remember the older types of coloured glass mosiacs used to cut ok with nibblers but the clear glass with sticky backs i did today just broke randomly.

Frustrated, tired and full of glass splinters now :mad2:

(job looks the biz though!)

Karl Dahm have just brought out a new pair of cutters called glass mosaic pliers, they describe them "as easy as scissor cuts" and yes I will be buying them, Hope this helps.

I tend to score them first on the tile cutter I use sigma cutters and if they are decent cuts they break good but if they are slithers then nips would be the go it takes the right amout of pressure to get a good break but some practice here will sort things out. Also down here we get grinding wheels especially desgined for glass mosaics and they are great save alot of time and broken tiles.
Been trying to find a picture of them but no luk. when I get a chance i'll photo mine and post it up.
