Hey guys, gals,
I'm to see a potential client over the weekend and he would like his hallway tiling.
It is an Edwardian house, don't know yet if it's a genuine Edwardian property or if it's in the style of.
My question is,can anyone (ie. TJ or Phill Hobson :smilewinkgrin🙂 point me in the right direction as to what type of floor would typically be laid In a property like this? Would it be ANY type of Geo floor or would certain designs be more appropriate?
Images would be a plus, especially if it's work done by your own fair hand.
As yet I have no details what so ever, only what I've mentioned above.
I just thought a little preparation would be prudent as I don't have a clue as what to suggest if I'm asked.
Thanks,
Marc.

Having seen your work your obviously out of your depth on this one .
A short period at the turn of the 1900 was really an extension of the chequerboard from Victorian times and lasted up to the Great War became the Edwardian period with styles such as William Morris and the Arts and Crafts movement being the main styles. Perhaps more Red was involved but still just geometric in design - timeless is the word.

John- coming from you that is high praise indeed! I shall accept with the graciousness it deserves, thank you!
You sir are a 'gentleman' an obvious 'scholar' and a 'smart arse'
Thank you for your wisdom, truly!
*gets on hands and knees and bows repeatedly!* "we're not worthy, we're not worthy!"

I will try to find some pics

@Phil Hobson You are a gentleman Phill, thank you! Those floors are stunning mate!
That's perfect, thanks to you and TJ I'm much better prepared now!

In case others are wondering - this was a job Marc did last year, no doubt you will find it on his Profile.
He sent me the before and after photos just to rub my nose in it!
A very complex set out through different angles in hallways etc. which seems to have come out extremely well.
Hope you get the job.
Good Lad.
