Fathers death.......moving on

Been to sort the death certificate today. They gave me a form which is very simple to fill in and take to the job centre plus which is also the pensions office and the benefits office. This form stops all the benefits that were paid to him and starts the process of bereavement payments for my mum so all of a sudden it seems to have become a lot simpler. For anyone who finds themselves in this horrid position it is form it is form BD8. Also make sure you get several copies of the death certificate at the time of registration.

I have monitored this thread from the start and didnt know what to say until today. I got the call this morning to day my father had also died and it is only now that i can find the words to how sorry i am as i fully appreciate what you are going through and feeling. I dont wish for this to be any kind of thread hijack, but will add that the information already given is helpful to me too
