I am finding it really hard to get work in liverpool now due to all these polish tilers, coming here and working for a tenner psm.

It is disgraceful!

I hope nobody on this forum employs any pols as they are bad for us, and will eventually take over every aspect of the construction industry.

I know it's a problem with people coming to this country and working for a lot less than we would want\need to earn, but is it really just Polish workers doing you out of business and not people from many other countries as well.

If you want to point the finger at anyone, then it's the goverment that has allowed immigration to get out of hand, and not the people taking advantage of getting a better life for themselves by moving here.

Time to extend our field lads.

Actually the last time I walked round Manchester it was full of gays.

Though I was out on the lash in the gay village, so that might be why  , and before you ask, yes I was with the wife  honestly I was.

It's ok wivers, I didn't say it was just the two of us :17: ... oops, what with wivers with his Borat on and me with my daffyd suit, we took the place by storm.

well said Fekin.

Its not The Poles fault .
theyve been given the chance by our government and wouldnt we do the same if we were in thier position.
And havent we already, when gods knows how many tilers went to Germany.
And arent we now, by emigrating to countries we are allowed to go to like australia.
Poland is now being overun by Ukranian tilers coz thier government needs trades to cover their absentees.
This has been going on forever just happens to hurt when it effects you personally.

Incidentally I employ ( not subcontract. a rumanian, czech and a pole ) and they are as good tilers as I have ever come across.
I also have more english tilers and we all get on and learn from each other.

There is nothing one can personally do about this problem.

I would rather there was no competition like it used to be a few years back.
But hey maybe thats part of the problem. There was so little competition and it was too easy.

Try harnessing this glut of talent that is arriving here and use it to your advantage.
You just have to weedle out the quality tradesperson and adapt them to our way of doing jobs.

There are useless trades people in and from every country. Cant be that hard to make yourself stand out if you are good not just as a tiler but businessman.
