help with boarding out

Alright guys, quoted a bathroom yesterday but the walls are out so it will need to be plyed, never done this before so i need some advice. Do i screw it to the wall or use a dot and dab technique

Are you planning to ply the walls?
 
yeah i was thinking about it but beuse i have got no experience in plying the walls i didnt want to make a mess so i need a bit of advice of how to do it, cheers

Aviod ply on the walls silly....backerboards are made specifically for this purpose....Gaz
 
I wouldn't ply walls either but just my opinion. You would be better and cheaper using pasterboard and tank out any wet areas if necessary. If the walls are solid you can dot and dab it on using dry wall adhesive. Use a straight edge and a level to keep it flat. Knauf used to have some stuff on their web site on how to do it.
 
same as DS Tiling,i would dot and dab plasterboard tysfoot m8,cheaper and easier,quicker and overall less hassle than plywood,incidently never heard of anyone dot and dabbing ply m8 as the walls are usually strapped and ply screwed on.If you want any advice how to do it then pm me m8,its really a piece of p***.
