.

I always carry my own mug, it's a massive great thing I got free from sportsdirect website. I just tell customer that I don't want the risk of breaking theirs .

Your customer sounds a "right laff".
he is a bit of a character, retired electrician in his seventies

its an ex council house that hes extended, it has electric everything, when I arrived in the morning he would see me drive up the road on his cctv and open the electric gates for me, i would pull onto his drive and his garage door would roll up so I could get access to the rear of his house, by the time I got out of the van the kettle was boiled and he was making me tea

I soon learnt that twice a day I had to move my kit and stop painting as the entire property was covered in an automatic watering system for his hanging baskets , tubs etc

he even had popup sprinklers in the lawn and borders

either him or his sons have painted it over the years so it was looking pretty rough and took a lot of prep , their over the moon with it as its the first time since the council owned it that its been professionaly painted and it looks a treat now

I'd be worried if he gave me a mug with a cowboy on it, mike,
he saw the funny side of it when I pointed it out

his wifes talking about buying me my own mug for the next job so I dread to think what that will say

the last job I did for them was straight before xmas and I got some lovely socks off them
