I was asked to join the lodge at Willaston near to me, £400 was the fee and I just couldn't see what I would get for that money. I know the Grandmaster flash and most of his furious five and they are just normal guys, one sells Bmw's as a sales assistant, one owns a chippy and another works for network rail. I think its a load of tat and an excuse to get out of the house.

On seconds thoughts maybe I should have joined.
(I do know the secret handshake and its too feminine for me)

I've been to that lodge Dom. My dad's uncle was a member of that one if I recall correctly.

the masonic orders are a dying breed now. not getting enough young blood through the doors. it was the fine dining and wine that helped my dad on his way to a massive heart attack tho :yikes:
 
my mate was in the masons and the first thing he did in the pub was go round demonstrating the 'secret handshake'....anyway, i thought tilers forums was the tiling equivalent of the masons :thumbsup:
