Well what a lively weekend, I was working away on Thursday quietly minding my own business when a friend called me on the mobile. He was 50 last week and his wife had arranged for him and 14 friends to go to the Hatton fight at Stoke, was I interested he asks???????????? Do bears poop in the woods????
The pickup was at 1pm on Friday, a mini bus then took us all to many different pubs before we arrived a little worse for wear at the venue, front row seats were waiting for us and the fight was throughly enjoyed by all. Matthew should have won as far as I am concerned. I managed to get my picture taken with Ray Hatton, (will post it when I get it from my mates mobile) I shook hands with Ricky Hatton, he is a very stocky lad when you are up close to him. Then we were taken to the nearest casino where we enjoyed a few more hours. Home was in the wee small hours and I stayed at my friends house, up at 11am and decided we might as well carry on boozing, (it seemed rude not too) I cooked a beef stroganoff and we finished at 4am this morning. What a great weekend and all paid for by my mates rich wife. I might have to go for a few scoops later to straighten my head out, hair of the dog and all that stuff.
