New Washing Machine-but I think it will crash through the floor!

Durr I think I have done it again! I purchased a Miele Washing machine, but as the house is STILL being worked on, I got it delivered to my sisters. Apparently the weight is mega heavy, which has got me worried as the floor is wood (yep I know! no tiled floor for me!).

Am I best to get the floor ripped up and start again? I really dont know what to do.

Any suggestions, on this would be appreciated.

How heavy is the machine Pebbs? what type of floor is the wood layed onto?

I've got the washer and the dryer and they sit on top of each other with no problem on a wooden floor.......

I just read they can weight between 90kg and 95kg, hells bells! I dont think the little wooden joists will take it!

Pebbs, that's around 14 stone or so? Are you saying your wooden floor wouldn't be able to support that? Than you have bigger problems than the choice of washing machine. Even with the weight of water and clothes it is still no heavier than a heavy person, or even some heavy exercise equipment. I think you can relax....

It'll be fine assuming the old one didnt leak and rot the floor. I wish you said you needed a new one i coulda got you one, pay back and all that!
