Renovate stone tile floor

Hi, can anyone help?
Have a stone tiled floor at house in France, thin terracotta, due to huge water leak over winter and bad staining tiles have had to be chemically cleaned and are now pourous as hell. Been told to re-seal with 50 50 mix of Turps and Beeswax oil, probably two coats. Is this right? Can I used boiled linseed oil as opposed to beeswax oil?

yes boiled linsed oil if its realy pourse first coat should be 75% white sprit 25% oil this alows it to soak deep into the stone next coat 50 50 do not let dry on the surface leave for about 10 mins then clean off then leave to dry off test with water drops see if they bounse off if not seal again until they do. now if you want to bring the coulur out in the stone use wax put the tin in boiling water until it turnes to a liguid now paste on to the tiles be fast now buff up you have the perfect finnish

I wouldn't recommend beeswax or oil. I would choose a modern topical or impregnating sealer depending on what finish you would want.
