Thanks lads he has excepted this should not be done and has asked me to do it any way with no comeback When or if it goes wrong in the future it could de-laminate this will be put in writing. you can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink! would you still not do it?

its your decision mate and i no money and times are hard but and its a big but....

the work will have your name on it because you did it, despite the disclaimer you have a responsibility as a professional tiler to carry out work to a professional standard!!...your reputation could suffer over something like this mate.....just looking out for you buddy

What's the worse that can happen?Ever have a bad stink that just wouldn't go away,(Someone I know did once)if whoevers paying the bill(the customer not the contractor)isn't happy with the job,it'll be your *** they're dogging no one elses, tell the contractor that you seriously doubt the UFH will work through three layers of tile,I personally have never heard of anyone tiling a third set ,it definatly has "bad dreams"written all over it,has the contractor even considered the excessive weight ,if ther's a floor underneath you could be crossing some kind of weight per sq ft code that might bring legal problems should the floor cave in,I don't know, just throwing some things for thought out there, good luck with that one,I'd give that job to my competition, cheers,Mike

run like the wind.
dont tarnish your name with a bad job, just because the builder is willing to do so.
any problems with the job this time and he's gonna land the blame at your door.

Do it right, if that means lifting it all then so be it.

IS the UFH cable or piped? ie in the screed or on it?

Thanks lads there is only one set of tiles electric ufh and levelled over.
However I had a very interesting conversation today from the guy's at Mapei technical
about this situation they have no problem with tiling over polished porcelain using a good cleaner and keraquik with latex plus, this is the way to do this to their spec I asked would you guarantee this method from de-laminating and they will. this is from the technical manager who also has 20 years tiling experience.
Interesting!

Even the technical manager cant guarrantee the substrate

Sounds like the technical manager is also a salesman,he just unloaded a bunch of material on you that would probably cost as much as ripping up the old floor, who's paying for the extra material, you or the contractor doing a half assed job to save money, there's a lot of experience on this site,I think the decision of most your peer's is obvious, lay your cards on the table with the contractor or you'll find yourself saying😳and going:mad2:cheers,Mike

He has spec'd what will stick to the tiles...NOT what is beneath them..

You seemed to have made up your mind that you will tile over them and we wish you luck and that you don't get a call back.

We are only here to advise and you have had that advice... So it is now your option to use it or go your way of doing things..

keraquick and latex plus is great i have not used another adhesive with so much adhesion and flexability but as dave said if the tiler before you laid the floor poorly then you you be putting a strong man on a week mans back
