fella rung me sunday ,wants to price a job, 21m2 of travertine

he says the floor is half concrete ,the other half is concrete but stepped down,a chippy has made the level marry up with ply ect...

so regarding a movment joint, if he dosent want a metal or plastic strip schutler type ,down the centre of the room,could i use coloured mastic?

or am i talking from my unmentionable:smilewinkgrin:

any other ideas boys?

it definately needs an expansion joint where the 2 different floors join. you can use coloured mastic as an expansion option but a nice trim will look more appealing imo,

decoupling membrane might be another option aswell as the cold joint.
