Van roof racks, van Ply Lining Kits, van Roof Bars, van Steel Racking, Pipe Carriers, Lock Protection, seat covers and Bulkheads from Demar Suppliers in the UK

Cheapest place I could find and free P+P. Wouldnt say they are 'cheap' though!

So is mine,ice on inside of roof at minute.
Real good for tools and adhesive,grout etc

Probably go down the jigsaw route, or a combination of holesaw/jigsaw.

To be honest its probably not going to be that difficult, at least no more difficult then cutting shapes in tiles! Its just that Im cutting a bloody great hole in the roof of me van!!!

I used the same method Joe described and chain drilled the hole. It took about 30 minutes then I used tin snips to remove the waste, filed all the edges back to smooth and fitted the vent. Dont make it too big or you really will have a wet van from all the rain that will get in.

if its a round hole heres a thought stick a tile were you need the hole nip out to see Richard at 365 drills and ask for a demo

OK, fitted the TCX-2 this morning. It was pretty straight forward in the end and took less then an hour from start to finish.


Template is provided, so you can find out where to fit the vent to miss any ribbing.


Drilled the two 5mm holes first, then ran a 10mm hole into the main area and jigsaw'd out the hole with a metal blade.

Assembled the unit through the hole and one 8mm loc nut secures it all in place. There is a seal bonded to the outside component but I used silicine as well. Raw edges were painted prior to fitting the vent.

Just remains to be seen if it gets rid of the condensation. It really is bad in the back and is starting to cause rust. :yikes:
