Wetroom tray envelope cut setting out challenge

So just to clarify, are you saying to just leave that amount of lippage on those tiles or to build up the adhesive on the tiles in the tray to form a steeper slope and meet the level tile?

@Dan Are you going to let me know what the testing is about too, considering you were using my luverly thread as your test bed? 😉

Yes Steve, just bed the first time into the former up with a little extra adhesive. Just make sure u have a full bed beneath it. It's not as daunting as it sounds.
Praps replicate it with a couple of tiles and a board first, just to see how easy it is.
You can do it! 🙂

Thanks for the vote of confidence mate and your good advice as always. Although I'm going to have to give this some thought I think. I can't say that I'm particularly happy about doing it this way if I'm perfectly honest.

I'd have to lift all 4 parts of the envelope to get them to line up properly which will be a faff I'm sure. One of the reasons for buying the former in the first place was to make tiling the fall easier. Plus we'd planned around that size of tray with regards to the shower and shower screen position. I didn't think about the tiles lining up when I bought it though annoyingly.

No doubt it would look better without all the cut tiles on the perimeter though.

Don't be swayed by me if you're u comfortable Steve.
It's important ur at ease when u carry out the work
Good luck.
