Truly shocking, like Rob says, he's struggling for work and nuggets like that are coining it in churning out rubbish to customers.

Sometimes you've got to question the customer as well. If they don't do the required background investigation into a tiler or any tradesperson for that matter then they are partially to blame. Or is it a case of them trying to find these tilers who are sticking them on for £8 a metre, cos I'm guessing thats what you get at that price!!!!

I remember the original thread over the weekend. I think its the one where i suggested they try a small claims court to recoup some costs. It would be a long road, but would hopefully stop him from doing this.
Im yet to go on my course, but i would rather waste money on a course and never touch a tile again than do work to a standard like this. I can imagine the home owners faces now, the disappointment etc. Just not on.

DAVE its a shame that we cant name these so call tilers like they do on rouge traders on tv . we could have a black list and pictures of the so called work. for customers to look at .over the years i have seen a lot of this and think to myself that these cowboys are taking work form us and money from hard work people that put there trust in them to do a good job. ahhhhhhhh it makes me MAD...

Thats a good idea. It would have to be qualified i.e someone had visited and taken photos etc, rather than just going on the say of a disgruntled customer. But if it was proven to be a dodgy job by a dodgy tradesman, then we could have a list here. Doesnt have to be in the general forum. That way you can protect yourself against a lawsuit for defamation or something.
