easiest test is to put your palm on the screed...if you can see your palm on the floor after you have removed your hand...its still too wet!!

Interesting thread everyone! Decent reading for a practising insomniac at 1.30am.
Bloomin' decent days work I'd say Dagger. So how long exactly was it after doing the SLC that you laid the first tile?

nobody advises it, is an old timers test...,
but i see where you are coming from........

the stuff i used was tx50....

50mm one hit,
poly modified,
u floor,
ply,
and walkable in 2 hrs.....

and i did not tile on it for 5 hrs and the wetter bit....7 hrs......

but it was sooooooo flat they went down easy......
