Andy 20 other tilers chasing the same work the basic law of supply and demand would say that the market you are in is flooded,Are there any specialist tile shops or marble suppliers near you even kitchen and bathroom showrooms you may find that they will only have 1 or 2 competitors in which will give you more chance of winning some work

I have done a few boards at my local supplier, I help them when I can and I do it for free. They hand my cards out and the whole relationship works very nicely.

I've actually spent half a day with them today, had a job that finished up early so called in for some networking  I would never turn down paying work for them, but when I get the time, why not?

I have done displays in both the local Topps and Tile Giant. Got at least one job from each whilst in there working - just talking to customers. Got more builders thinking they can tile asking "How do you...." type questions.
Had postcard size business card on several of the displays in Topps for a while before their Area Manager said they had to be removed because of their Approved Fitter service (of which I was one)

I do the boards in my local topps if i have a spare day. I always ask for some tools and a few bags of adhesive. Basically things they can write off, there happy and so am i, new trowels, washboys etc etc got a new rubi paddle mixer last week which was a winner.
Manager does put a alot of work my way.
Shop may have 20 tilers on the "books" but you may well be top of that list if you help them out.
