The rcd tripped and now the light in the hallway is not working, upstairs switch and downstairs switch won't turn on the hallway light. The light on the landing works with both switches the upstairs and downstair switches. I know it's a big ask and I don't have anymore information as it's in my Dad's house and I can't get down to...

Song words; anybody can join in this catchy game

I mentioned this a while back as a thread on another forum which has 3k+ posts, it may work here it may not so let's see. Someone puts up a song with a link from YouTube and the next puts up another using one word from the previous song title and so on, for example;
Name Of The Game - ABBA followed by Swords "Of" A Thousand Men - Tenpole Tudor, hope that's clear so I will start.
Into The Valley - The Skids (someone now uses Into, The or Valley in their title).

My kid’s moving out! House buying.

Just gauging the collective intelligence here on perils and pitfalls of renovating a possible house my middle daughter (19yp) wants to buy with her own money. She pays the bills, daddy does all the donkey work.

The market around here is slow at this time, so there’s not a huge choice of properties in driving distance to both our house, and her place of work.

Just a little tip that you all might know...

I've had a tiny problem with little spots of black mould around my bath. The guys who fitted out the bathroom were ----.
Cheap Silicon sealer will always yellow, and black spots are always a hassle.
I intended to redo it all, but time passes by...suddenly, I have a couple of visitors coming to stay, so I set about stripping out all the old sealant and applying new stuff.
No...I cheated!
It took me less than 5 minutes, it lasts a couple of months...

Littlespark’s collection

Not everyone’s cup of tea, but as you see from my profile, I like a bit of science fiction and Lego.... so I’m starting a thread. One official Lego set from my collection per day... should take about 6 months!

In no particular order.... I’ll start with a recent eBay purchase. Missing a few very small parts, but I’ll get them replaced soon enough.

Set 21306, starring John, Paul, George and Ringo..... and Jeremy...

How can they justify the increase in your electricity bill !?

Just had a email from E-on to say my yearly bill is going up £81 from £103 - £184.
Now this has got me wondering how they can justify this ---

Firstly it is for a spare feeder pillar in a field that uses 0 kWh per year , so the increase from 19p to 29p per kWh should not effect the end bill.
Added to that , even if It was using power , they make a big song and dance about only supplying 100% renewable , so how does the cost of oil suddenly make this more expensive to produce !???

Then the...
