Gas and water bonding Electrical Advice

Gas and water bonding Discussion ThreadGas and water bonding Electrical Advice

Water stop tap is on the complete opposite side of the house with no easy route without a fair amount of damage to decoration. Routing the cable around the property on the outside isn’t possible as it’s a mid terrace.

Any suggestions on what would be possible?

Is cross bonding from the gas pipes acceptable in the case?

Thanks

I'll be the first to admit that I don't have much enthusiasm for doing this job anymore, its only the relatively easy money that keeps me going but why on earth do customers think the world revolves around them. Safety Contactor Electrical Advice

Safety Contactor Discussion ThreadSafety Contactor Electrical Advice

Afternoon all,
I need some clarification regarding the use of a safety contractor and whether we can classify the safety contractor as a point of isolation. We have a control panel that requires inserting a castell key into the HMI unit to activate it. When we remove the castell key from the trap position, it disconnects the safety relay. Can this be used as the isolation point?
Thanks.

Distribution circuits in Section 705 location, RCD needed? Discussion ThreadDistribution circuits in Section 705 location, RCD needed? Electrical Advice

I just want to check how I should be interpreting section 705.

705.411.1 states required disconnection devices, the first two indents covering final circuits and sockets, requiring 30ma and 100ma RCD's depending on rating of socket.
Indent 3 says " all other circuits" need 300ma RCD.

Does that include distribution...
