Swa as main earth ?!? Discussion ThreadSwa as main earth ?!? Electrical Advice

So I have turned up on a job… someone previously has installed a 120mm 2 core swa from the meter to a barn building 160m away and them split off for the house and barn building in 25mm tails and have used the armour on the sea as the main earth.

Both ends of the swa have been terminated badly, the ze reading is 0.80 and the armour csa isn’t large enough to be use as the main earth.

Grommets and 10mm Hollow Threaded Tube Discussion ThreadGrommets and 10mm Hollow Threaded Tube Electrical Advice

Hello everyone,

I'm currently making a table lamp out of driftwood found on the beach.
Does anybody have any ideas about the cable passing through the 10mm threaded rod regarding grommets.
I'm wondering whether I should use 3/8 BSP to 15mm plumbing connection to get me into a wider diameter.
Rope cable is rated at 700w so the bulb will be nowhere near that amount.

Is this ok? Electrical Advice

Is this ok? Discussion ThreadIs this ok? Electrical Advice

Hi, I have just had a Hypervolt ev charger fitted, the electrician used an old unused cooker spur to feed the charger and replaced the 32a mcb with a 40a two pole rcbo. I don't think the CU was originally designed for rcbo's as there is only two neutral bars, the electrician has taken the neutral feed for the rcbo from the input of the first rcd, is this ok?
I don't want to call his skill into question but would appreciate a...
