Sure this has come up before but yesterday testing after adding a spur and end to end readings on CPC come out about 0.2ohm over expected reading (was expecting about 1ohm from LL & NN (0.65)

Checked all sockets I could see (some were very old so suspect the sockets themselves might be a contributing factor) other possibility is JB under floor.

I hope you can help me please. I am replacing extractor fan with timer and PIR (100TM model) to model 441625A (100T) with just the timer. With the old one (the one with orange drawing) 3 wires are connected in the same order Ls,N, L (L at the bottom) and all works fine. It is activated on movement (movement only, pulling a light string without movement in the bathroom does not activate fan)...

Hello

Working on a site with dampers fitted on the ducting which need fire shut offs connected to the fire panel via an actuator.

The actuators have 4 contacts “Damper Closed NO and NC” and “Damper Open NO and NC”.

Presuming they need a NC contact so the actuator operates and closes the damper when the alarm goes off but not sure which NC contact to utilise.

Any insight appreciated.

Trying to put together a circuit to make some fans work via a thermostat. The thermostat will pick once a certain temp reaches which will notify the system the temp has increased and at the same time allow the fans to turn on as the contact in thermostat is normally open and closes once the temp reaches to the set limit.

Electrician appears to want a lot of money to fix issues. He is also saying if i use someone else to fix issues, i will need to get the EICR redone.

When on a commando socket we will install an AFDD.

If we remove the commando socket and install a standard rotary isolator, do we still need to install the AFDD ?
