Advice needed on replacing security light please! Electrical Advice

Advice needed on replacing security light please! Discussion ThreadAdvice needed on replacing security light please! Electrical Advice

Hi

We had the light (photo attached) installed a couple of years ago - it still works but the bulb is faded but needs replacing.

Is it quite easy to replace myself (someone with no experience)? Or do I need to get someone in to do it?

Thank you!

James

UFH mat in bathroom Discussion ThreadUFH mat in bathroom Electrical Advice

Was at a job yesterday & whilst running cables for lighting in a side attic space I came across something I’ve not see before (not surprisingly). The couple had a new bathroom installed last year & by the looks of it whoever installed the underfloor heat mat, they never measured the UFH mat correctly for the size of the bathroom. So from what I can see what they’ve done is when they got to the last tiled part...

Hi, I have this ignition PCB, it opens a valve but does not ignite. I bought a primitive tester for £7.99 and what I checked was the fuse and the output terminals.

The fuse is ok and output terminals show 0.05 (My Ohm meter goes from 1 to 0 and says 200kO on the selector knob dial). But I can't read anything on the input of the grey little box the output terminals are.

I went to...

The question is:
If the supply voltage is 100v ac with a period of 20ms, and the supply current (Is) taken by the coil is 6A, calculate the frequency of the supply, overall impedance, Inductive reactance and the inductance of the coil.

I've worked out the frequency to be 50Hz and in order to get the Inductive reactance I need to work out the inductance of the coil.

f = 1/t...
